We were first introduced to the Kerstin Florian skin care line a decade ago by a day spa whose aestheticians used the skin care on clients. At the time we were new to the industry and inclined to believe everything we heard about it, which was entirely good of course. After all, the spa also sold the products to its customers.
As we researched the Kerstin Florian brand and its skin care products, we focused in on the Caviar Age-Defense Crème. Whereas some winkle creams rely on mystery and vague language for their promotion, we like that Kerstin Florian's website lists the key ingredients and explains each. It also lists the directions for use, essentially printing the entirety of its packaging narration on its website. We are firm believers that the best ingredients make the best skin care products, so the more forthcoming a company is about what goes into its face cream the better.
Caviar extract is the most prevalent of the ingredients (so much so that it's part of the product's name). Yes, the same stuff the rich and famous nosh on at countless parties and premiers is put into skin care products.
What about caviar is good for your skin? Rich in protein and high in amino acids, caviar is said to improve skin's hydration. It also contains vitamins A, B, D and E. We all know caviar to be expensive, so it may not be a surprise to find this product retails at $150 for just 1.7 ounces.
The core philosophy of Kerstin Florian is "inner beauty, outer health." Charlene Florian-Barker, Vice President of Corporate Creative Development (and daughter of Kerstin Florian) says their company believes in "total well being" which they describe as being comprised of four essential components: proper nutrition, regular exercise, psychological well-being, as well as care of the face and body. A self-described, "results-driven" skin care line, Kerstin Florian promotes that its Caviar Age-Defense Crème soothes, comforts and replenishes skin from its very first use.
The brand has blended the harvesting and use of natural ingredients with solid technology. They claim that extensive research has gone into developing their skin care line, including the blending of their own exfoliant-rich mud.
The final verdict? The Caviar Age-Defense Crème is moderately successful, perhaps partially due to the fact that it doesn't over-promise. The skin care line is careful to promote tangible benefits without advertising grand stories coupled with vague guarantees.
The exclusive line, primarily seen in spas, delivers a luxurious-feeling moisturizer that seems to make good on its soothing, comforting and replenishing promises. As one of the major skin care lines to utilize natural ingredients, Kerstin Florian certainly can capitalize on the popularity of the current social trend towards the use of natural and sustainable products.
The combination of Kerstin Florian's exclusivity, dedication to using natural ingredients, and its promotion of beauty as being more than skin deep has won some converts, and with an exclusive ingredient like caviar listed in its name, customers are more likely to equate value to its substantial price tag.
If you're looking for a face cream that feels and sounds luxurious, the Caviar Age-Defense Crème may be for you. There is no strong evidence that it is particularly effective as an anti aging skin care product, but, like a tin of fine caviar, this wrinkle cream all about the here and now.

I have been using this cream for about a week now and I have to say I really love it. I have tried a lot, and I mean a lot, of different products and I have never found anything that works like this. I have already begun to notice a huuuge difference. It's very expensive for me but it really works! So it's defiantly worth saving for!
This cream made my face break out and I had to return it.
First of all, I like to change products like crazy all the time. So when I keep buying the same product that can only mean that it is SO GOOD! I really love the dispenser because it allows you to get just the right amount. The only bad thing about this cream is the high price. Sooo, I will keep looking for more reasonably priced stuff.
The texture is really nice and it is rapidly absorbed into the skin. My face was super smooth within 1 week! It helps my face with fine lines and even with my forehead lines. I just turned 40, so hopefully it will help with my deep line too! Great product, try it and you will be hooked!
After reading all the reviews, I decided to try this product out. I was hesitant on the price, but heard so many good things; I figured I couldn't go wrong. So you can imagine how disappointed I was that after continued use I started getting small white heads in different areas of my face. This product also has a REALLY strong scent to it, and I tend to wonder if that's why my skin broke out like it did. Anyways, I will finish this by using really small amounts so I don't feel bad about the money I spent.
